I have a double reed TR now and want to add a single reed call for volume to get their attention. My choices are narrowed down to a SMM,DMM, TR single reed or (and forgive me) a Daisy Cutter. how about some advise....

i tell you what i havent heard a call make such a nice whine as that SMM i got, and it takes very little air, thats what i would go with.

I've used a daisy cutter since they came out and I have no complaints at all about the call. It's not a ringer, but it has plenty of hunting volume. Of the Foiles calls, I've only used the SMM and the TR, both in single and I tried the TR in double once. I prefer singles, but that TR double sounded great. Of the two, the SMM was definately the louder with a good bit of ring on the top end. The single TR had plenty of volume for the situations I hunted and it was my personal choice of the Foiles duck calls, but if you are looking for sheer volume, for hailing distant flocks, I would suggest the SMM.

Although I only own a DMM, I've blown both the TR and the SMM calls.

If you want volume, and you already have a TR, I'd go with an SMM. This way, volume-wise, you'll have both ends of the spectrum covered. The DMM is more of a midrange call. You can get loud, but not as loud as an SMM; conversely, you can get soft, but not quite as soft as the TR.
