Had a great hunt on Saturday. Went out with five buddies for a morning hunt. Setup at 7am in the fog to be ready for the morning flight. Rain and warmer temps have everything thawing and getting sloppy. No more driving into the fields. Everything had to be carried. The fog didn't lift until 11am, so our morning hunt turned into an all day affair. Our patience paid off as mid afternoon the geese started flying steady and we shot a six man limit of twelve geese. Our hunting for the final two weeks of the season will be determined by where we can access fields due to the mud. We were sinking to our ankles in mud and it was hard work carrying out our gear.

Nice Hunt. Just remember Hunting is hust another word for work. You have to earn what you shoot. If it was easy all the time it would get boring. Congrats.

I drove by the field they were hunting, and I aint tryin to hate but it looked like alot of shooting at unfinished high birds to kill those 12...probably educated 300+. Yes I know Dustin and yes I know which field you were in on Sat!!

As to educating birds, I try not to, but it is an unfortunate occurrance with goose hunting. Unless you limit yourself to shooting singles, doubles, or small groups, there are always some that get away. I am all about the "hunting", not just the "killing". Watching geese respond to calling and working the decoys is great. You may know Dustin, but I don't think you know me. Let's get together sometime for a hunt, and get to know each other.

The term Calhoun Redneck is a little redundant. Its like saying, Peanutty Peanut.
