What shot size do you guys use for ducks? Geese?

1's and bb's for geese 3.5 in

2's and 4's for ducks 3 in

Geese: 3.5" BB between 1300-1625 fps
Ducks: Depending on season anywhere from 2 3/4" 3's & 4s to 3.5" 3's & 4's with speeds changing from different shell manufacturers.
I mostly shoot Kent.

3.5 Inch 1's or BB in 12 gauge, BB in 10 gauge for geese.

3" or 3.5" 2's for ducks, generaly I don't load up the 10 if it is a duck only hunt.

Oh and I just shoot steel, non of that fancy stuff for me.

On ducks I shoot anything from 3 inch 1's to 4's in the early season. Oh yeah, 4's or smaller are better for cripples on water because ya pretty much have to hit 'em in the head or neck to kill them. The smaller shot gives you alot denser pattern. I like 3 1/2 inch BB's and once in a while BBB's on honkers and shoot snows with 3 1/2 inch 2's to BB's. The 2's actually seem to kill snows great. They dont seem to take much of a hit to bring down. I think its cause they dont have much fat on 'em like big 'ol honks.

Geese: Usually 3" 2's, but will shoot 3.5" 2's or BB's
Ducks: 3" 4's is generally all I shoot. I kill em dead with that.

I may shoot #2 for geese in the early season and #2 for ducks later in the season as the fat builds up!!!

Everyone I hunt with shoots the X-Pert Hi-Velocity shells....and man, they do a number on the birds!!!!!
