If you could only buy four or six full body goose decoys, what brand and why? I need to keep it light & mobile, plus no real room for storage right now.

thanks

if you're looking for space savers i'd look at the GHG lessers or wait for the bigfoot lessers to come out in the summer (not sure if thats when they're out) but they look amazing and have to durability of BFs!

As the others have stated the GHG Lessers are the real deal,I have six dozen and they work awesome and take up very little room in the truck or in the shed.

hardcores .. 6 pack for $100 , bases stay attached for easy movin , have carried 1 doz at a time by there bases in and out all year or put 1 doz in the finisher blind and dragged them out with out as much as a scratch in the paint or flocking , also they back there product , size is in that lesser range , 6 different style of birds in there finisher pack oe what ever they call it .

Go with the GHG lessers and you won't be dissapointed. The motion system on those are way better than the HC's. The HC's are good lookin dekes but they have a problem with the bases busting through the cones. I have 2 doz. of the GHG's that I use when walking into fields. They are super light, don't take up much room at all and they have very good movement in very little wind.

if i could only have 4 or six and didnt have any storage room, i would go a different route.i would buy shells, that stack, take up hardly any room, and are easy to transpot in a simple decoy bag.sometimes i have to hunt in places where i cant take my big foot fullbodys.i have a sled that i am able to put 3 dozen shells in, and pull to the hunten area.no muss, no fuss and im huntin in no time.and they will all fit in the back seat of a small car.if ya had to................................................ ................................R

Thanks guys. I have thought about the GHG, but I've had paint/durabilty issuses with there decoys a couple of years ago, however I sure that has been corrected!( once bitten twice shy) As for the shells, good idea, but I thought with only 4 or 6 decoys, I would want to hit them with the most realistic decoy out there. Yes, I have used "stuffers" before but they are not an option right now. I had in mind the Dave Smith decoys.... any feed back on how they hold up???

I would go with some Dakotas. They are realistic and I have yet to have any paint/durabilty issues with them. I have even had some fly out of the back of the truck on the 401 and that didn't do anything to the flocking. Plus I think SLO still has them on sale

I can fit 6 full body GHG Pro's in these bags that I got at Cabela's. I have to take the large bases off a few of them but everything fits in the bag.

I would have to go with the Big Foots they are the best you can buy.

He needs to be moble. Bigfoots extreamly limit your morbility

I have even had some fly out of the back of the truck on the 401 and that didn't do anything to the flocking. Plus I think SLO still has them on sale the dakotas are nice but like the bigfoots they 2 are heavier and bigger , if u want to run either of those 2 brands whitch are bolth known for quality and durability ur best bet is to wait on the lessors from 1 of the 2 mentioned ..

i went with the ghg lessors first , after baggin them every hunt , there was alot more sighn of wear then i will even mention just from them rubbin the bag , if u were to go with them the only advantage u';; have for the $ is u get a bag with the ffd 1's , but i also here more complaints about durability and paint that goes on un resolved .. at least with the hardcores , bigfoots , and dakotas u know ur gonna get a decoy replaced if need b without a fight { although i have never had to deal with ghg customer service on a personal note }

i hunt out of a ford explorer , i put 1 doz ghg progrades , 6 ffd lessors , 1 soz hardcores , and a finisher blind slid on top of them , had bigfoot or dakota had a lessor at the time and the $ was right i would b glad to run them , but i figure i could put 24 dakotas or around 20-24 bigfoots in the car or run about 4-5 doz lessor size birds in the explorer , so a lessor size is what i need as well ......

Dave Smith Decoys-I used just 12 this last season with great success. Not to heavy if you have the right bag to carry them in, but they do require some care when storing. For my style of hunting, it was worth cost and effort for the results.

I am partial to GHG's when it come's to decoys. So they get my vote. I've had my FFD's for 3 years now and they only show minimal ware. But, they are bagged in slotted bags and heads covered after every hunt too. But as Randy pointed out, you will get more bang for your buck with shells.

Go with the Dave Smith Decoys best looking decoy on the market, and the best flocking avaliable. And since you only need 4 or 6 go with them man!!!!

after x-mas i debated between BF's and GHG's and due to finding some great deals on GHG's, I went with them....I have a doz GHG and 6 lesser GHG...With two six slot bags I store six of the greater size and 3 of the lesser size in one bag...so I carry two slotted bags to the field and that gets 18 full bodies out there...its all i have for now and works great
