What can I say about Scott Curtsinger and his deal down in Lubbock Texas. Absolutely an awesome time had by all! Jay Anderson, Rob "Rascal Flatts" Warner, and myself headed to Lubbock to hunt w/ Scott and Longneck Outfitters. What a deal this was. Limits killed 3 straight days in under an hour...awesome food..a beverage or two..but PLENTY of birds and PLETNY of killin'. Texas is overlooked by FAR now that I have seen in first hand. Lessers by the THOUSANDS and a fair wad of giants! There is also some great sandhill crane and duck hunting as well. We MORE then suggest gettin' a hold of Scott and bookin' w/ Longneck next season. Money WELL SPENT for anyone who likes to kill!! Now to the grindin'....

Day 1

We roll into texas country to pick up our rental car...THE HHR!! What a beast! We had this thing piled full and still rolled all over the back roads. We hunted cut milo fields all week and day one was the nicest conditions of all. DRY!! Killed our limit in about 1/2 hour w/ a bonus snow. When these birds start pilin' out it's a steady stream of thousands for an hour or two!!

THE HHR DOIN' WORK!!!
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f338/migrator00/100_0060.jpg

Day 2 was a freakin' ice bath. The professional weathermen in lubbock called for 1 to 2 feet of snow. I think they got about 1 inch of ice and 1 inch of snow. Close. Anyway...another slaughter w/ a bonus barage of some of the prettiest pintail drakes you'll ever find. Day 2 ends with a limit of geese (2 giants), one sandhill and 3 bull sprigs in the ice!!

Day 3 was another rough one for waterfowl. This was by far the best shootin' we did all week. Killed our 12 birds in 3 groups. One of the groups being 8 giants comin' in on the hard deck w/ only 1 leavin'! That's the only bird that slipped us all a.m. We were takin' pics by the road (after we buried the trailer) and imagine this... a few hundred honkers appear from the fog and lite 200 yards from us.

Just wanted to thank you guys for comin' down. Had a blast huntin' with all of you. It was sweet having four people callin in the spread. finally got my trailer out this morning, got down to 17 and it was all frozen. Have more birds now than when yall left. Field we hunted the first day was absolutely covered, had around 400 snows mixed in with the little geese. Should be awesome till the end. Again thnx for comin down.
