Spreads for geese

How many decoys do you hunt with. What does your spread mostly consist of? Feeders, sentry, etc.

Depends on the limit.

We adjust our spreads to how many birds we can kill.

If 2 guys are out and it is a 2 man limit of 4 total birds not more then 30 decoys.

Late season 8 guys 5 bird limit 14 - 16 dozen.

1 dozen big foots
2 dozen flam shells
2 dozen carry lites
1 dozen higdons

70% are prob feeders

Rarely run them all unless were trafficing a bunch of birds or migrators. We ran them all the first day of the nuisence season, that was the only time. I think if you have a couple dozen fb with flocked heads you will be alright for most hunts.

what about if you only have a dozen shells and 2 dozen silos and maybe a dozen fullbodies

We run up to ten dozen full bodies,mostly ghg's and if duck seasons open we'll run a couple dozen ghg mallard full bodies too.We usually only scale down if we can't drive in the field or if we haven't seen alot of birds on the field and its our only option.Most of the time more is better in my books.

if you look at most groups of live birds. say a dozen or so usually theres 3-5 lookers and the rest are feeders or resters

yeah but lookers are a warning sign to geese but i know wat u mean we only put like 4 in a rig of 100
