Okay so I remember a post a few weeks back that someone said they know how to make the SBE hold 4 shells with the plug in. My dad has an old SBE that will do it. Now exactly what part of the bolt do you fill in to make it hold that extra shell down in the gun. I think I know but am not sure. If possible, can you post a pic of this fill-in job? That would be great. Oh and by the way, I am doing this so I don't have to buy a magazine extension for snows. I am not planning on putting 4 shells during the regular waterfowl season.
One more thing...how exactly does it work? I believe that when you shoot the chambered shell, it just brings the "extra" shell into the chamber and the 2 in the tube stay there until the next shot is fired. Is this right? Any problems with jamming when 4th shell is inserted? Thanks a bunch guys.

If it is an old H&K there is no need to fill anything in. It was a design flaw and will do it without any modifications.

your 4th shell is a floater on the carrier EI: 1 in the pipe ,2 in the mag, 4th on the carrier. the older SBE could do this. i think it was marshmaster who did the explanation. (gereral discussion page 5, any suggestions on a new gun)

Hey Killer, look at the bottem of your dads older bolt.... see the two notches ... fill the BACK notch in with JB weld ( prep it with alittle emery cloth first ) when the JB is dry smooth it out flush with the surface of the bolt... again use some emery cloth.... BY THE WAY, the back notch being the notch closer to the "tail".... let me know if you have problems Ive done this a million times !!!!

Thanks Marshblaster and h20fowler. I think I'll just wait until I go to my dad's and checked his out and then maybe he can help me fill it in.
