Krees the call arrived safe and sound and thanks for the BONUS gift!
Now to the serious stuff. Seems you know more then I on this puter. I am sending in my lap top and parinoia is setting in.
My question is this:
I have always saved my personall stuff in one folder. I saved it all to CD's and a external hard drive. I then deleted everything out of that folder. I know that only really says to the puter clear the directory title and leave behind the info and if it needs space to cover this up it will re-write data over the old stuff. So I copy like 25 gigs of music into that old personal folder to write over the previous files which were like 1.5 gigs.
Will that clear my junk out? Do you know a better way to clear it?
Thanks
Hammer

You should be OK, are you sending it in for repair or what? They only find what they want to look for. If your not under investigation or your employer isnt trying to can your ass you should be fine.
When I take mine in to have the Motherboard upgraded or something I always download a good vid for the techs to watch. Leave it right on the desktop, I think it steers their attention away from actually digging for something.

I just went through and deleted all of my Internet files passwords auto fill etc. One of my Nemesis's now is the bosses boss so he could be looking for something. I am sending it in and never going to see it again. I am getting a new one and this one is history.
I copied music over my old directories until my hard drive was full 68 gigs filled up tight. I now deleted about 5 gigs of music. I am going to winclear and then defrag tonight. Then fill it up with music files again. Save them in the recycle bin after and max that baby out to.
Thanks for the help.

you could look up the program files that you used. in the hard drive and delete the files that you used if they are still there. your files could be in application or program files

If you cant just reformat the disk with a fresh windows install the what your doing is the next best thing. Just write over the HD a few times and your golden. See if you can find a free trial of a history kill program just in case.

Thanks, that make me feel better. I have that winclear program (history clearing) and I can shred stuff with up to 35 re-writes over items. Looks like this thing is going to busy tonight!
I did not think that Canadian Champ call was so much different then a show time but it is a lot different on the barrel and insert. Sweet I maybe able to hit notes others around here can not. Foiles seems to be the call of choice for goose hunters around here. That extra 5 % difference :D
Thanks again Hammer

The problem most people have if someone looks into their hard drive they can find old files and old programs. Your delete function only gets rid of the file name (directory). Your puter leaves the info there until the space is used for a newly saved program or file.
Never think that stuff is gone unless you make it gone and then it can be iffy. You have to max your hard drive out to complete full to make sure that hard drive space is written over.
I am going to keep my personal stuff on my desk top from now on, not my work PC.
