I buff my calls's band with a dremel tool, but as far as the barrels go, I wipe my cocobola barrel with a gun stock wax, and don't do anything to the acrylic barrels except windex. Not a pro-staffer, just my two cents...

Wipe them down with water and a towel to get the dirt and grime off of them. If it is bad send it to the shop.

Mother's makes a polish that works GREAT for the bands on the calls....and I can't think of it off the top of my head...but someone makes an acrylic polish as well. All you need is a rag for each and a clean rag for each to wipe it down...looks like a brand new call!!!!

The more beat up a call the better it looks to me...I like the worn in, beat up, well used look!!!!

You can get this stuff from Walmart for under 12 bucks. ''Meguires"Plastx. It is desinded for plastic head lights and it takes all the small scratches, oxidization, and grime away. Works awsome on acrylic. I have used it before and it makes your old looking acrylic calls look like brand new again. Hope this helps :) :) :)

Some good tips there; however, unless you're selling the call, I think they look better faded and dull. "Salty".

I've seen some that look alright worn. However I like my calls to look clean and neat. In my opinion when your calls get foggy and scratched up they just dont look as nice.
