Real quick hit here guys...
My buddy called me earlier today and said he saw about 30,000 mallards in a field up here in Minnesota. Now when he says 30,000 that means maybe 10 to 15,000. He spotted them in a field east of hwy 52. Now I know most of you aren't familiar with the Minnesota highway system so, Hwy 52 runs north to south from the south side of St. Paul down to Rochester. The field they were in is about 10 to 12 miles south of St. Paul. I kinda believe him because he said there were about a dozen pick-ups pulled over to the side of the Hwy looking at them and taking pictures. I don't know what this means to alot of you south of here as far as your seasons go but, there are definetly some birds heading south. Just thought I would let you know.

it doesn't seem to get cold around here til the end of the season

You would think that the "brains" would ajust the seasons to match, or at least give us a better chance

Just imagine...They could be in Iowa by the weekend! I wish they would look at weather patterns to decide on the seasons.

I agree with woodie the dern Feds need to set up our seasons in the south with some splits to get us into February.
It would be real nice if just a few of those in the pic made to our blind on Sunday wouldn't it woodie?
