Still looking for a new gun, went to my local sporting goods shop today and looked at an SX3. Seemed to be a really nice gun. I shoot a SuperNova now and want to upgrade to an auto. Don't like the Xtrema 2. SBE 2 is nice but its expensive. Looked at the SX3 and liked it alot. Whats different between the SX2 and SX3. I've heard the SX2 was a great gun. Also, nervous about buying a Winchester because they have went out of business.
winchester has not gone out of business!!!!!!! the X3 is lighter than the X2 and has some design changes. mechanicly the same gun just sleeker and lighter. the X2 is the same exact gun as the browing gold except for the magazine cut off on the gold. almost all the parts from an X2 interchange with the gold. if im not mistaken browning and winchester have merged company's

as i said above they are the same guns, differance being magazine cut offs
so is browning now holding the pattens on them or who owns them now. as far as being made in belgium thats not a problem. who owns the winchester name now cause there still being made?

No...nonononono
Winchester didnt go out of business. AGAIN Winchester did not go out of business.
Browning bought the rights to build Winchester guns several years ago. Winchester hasnt been it's own gun company for several years. Olin actually owns the Winchester name for the ammo side of things and licenses Browning to build the guns.
Last year they decided to stop manufacturing several models that were struggling...this is when the rumors of the company going out of business began. This is all untrue. Winchester arms is alive and well and they never "went out of business". I live 20 miles from Brownings Corp. HQ and spend a little time up there and can tell you from the horses mouth that the rumors and my buddy said stuff is all wrong. I would believe this to be true because I go to Brownings HQ to pick up my Winchesters every year. I doubt they are giving me guns that someone else is making...or giving me guns to promote for a company that is out of business.

The sx3 is a slick gun. Shoulders perfect and is light weight. I will stick with my Beretta Extrema but if I had to gett rid of it, I would look at the sx3 over just about anything else. We sell alot of these guns at the store I work at. We can't keep them in stock
