I am looking to get a new call from jeff, where we hunt is big water(about 4 miles across), and i need a call to reach out and touch em, but still need too be ducky enough to coax em the last hundred yards. I was wonderin about a mean street or a strait meat mallard. Thanks for your help.

I used a Strait Street and a SMM in the same conditions you are up against her in Texas. The Mean Street is just as load and can get ducky. If you can only get one I would just go with the SMM.

+1 the mean street is just the call that you are lookin for.it worked very well in the open fields, when the snow was blowing and wind was howling..you will be more than happy with the MEAN STREET.........R

For open water, the Mean Street is the king. You can expect the same results with the Wide Open in the BGB line of calls from FMI. Both are loud and absolutely awesome in open areas, and of course, great in the fields as well.
