We finally got out to SD for the first weekend of the Spring Snow Goose Season. We hunted two days. Sat. we did pretty well. We shot 25 and saw lots of adults. The field conditions are horrible, with tons of mud, and flooded fields. We could never get in with out wheelers, otter sleds and seed bags for the decoys. Sun. we hunted until 930 and the birds didn’t fly very well. So we decided to pull the set while the ground was still frozen from the night before. Which was a good thing because temps got into the 50’s and it was one muddy mess out there. We are going back to give it a try this weekend. Hopefully the juvies start showing up.
