Just wanted to say hello and I like the site. Didn't realize Foiles had a forum. Very nice Kelly.

I was also very surprised to see the support for Muddy Dog Lanyards on here. I am the slacker part of Muddy Dogs, I got burnt out tyeing lanyards about a year ago and Jason has been running the show for a while now.

I hope this isn't taken as spam, I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for the support. If I can answer in questions let me now.

Jim S.

Thanks Kelly, I had better not pimp the lanyards to much or Jason could beat me up. I think he is looking forward to the slow time of year.

Hunters Ridge. Thanks about the site, we have Kelly to blame for it as he is the man. One of these days we need to get a few more Lanyard pics up and some dead bird pics also.

Come on, not really slamming the guy. I even used the word "kindly".

I emailed him a week ago and used Marks post as a example on how great they are and said hey "I do not want to post anything negitive about your product" No response.

Sorry

We braid in a loop and attach the drop to that with an overhand knot. This way the drop can be removed. The drops are also adjustable, so you can custom fit your calls to the lanyards.

Thats Awesome.. and they mostly run in the 25$ range....thats also very cool....i love my Avery DIY but on the hunt we did on Closing Day....i picked up my SMH to call behind me and pulled the whole lower braid apart...spent an hour sitting in my Finisher Braiding and burning the damn thing back together......and dont get me started on my Bolen... love the thing....but once a call is in the loop......doesnt come back out...almost broken 3 Acrylic calls and did break one poly call just trying to switch them around..........looks like ill be getting a muddy dog.....

Thanks I can not wait! Can you throw in a plain piece of parachute cord? Any color scrap you have. I need a piece about 12-16 inches long for skinning coyotes in the field.

Thanks

Thats pretty cool.....only preditors we got here in DE is Red Foxes....and we usually just shoot them with our bows on deer drives...just beacause they breed like rabbits around here....no yotes, no bears, no mountain lions nothing....just lil ole foxes....would like to try to call some but the season is only a couple days long....now im not a poacher by any means, but everyone i know that hunts waterfowl or deer, has killed a fox on the hunt...tho its usually the deer hunters killin them because they chase the young deer......but Yote hunting sounds like its a lot of fun, and i would love to try it one day...

Jim:

How is the gamestrap....I mean with the fat round braid and the weight of the birds? I can see it being okay with a couple ducks on it, but what about a honker or two??? Does it cut into your shoulder??? Does the fat roudn braid distribute the weight enough to make it comfortable?

I am dying for a gamestrap...but I need one that will hold atleast two honkers and a couple ducks without breaking and that will be remotely comfortable on my shoulder. I want one in parachute cord...as it does not rot, mold, mildew, etc. we have a ton of spots that are long walks in and when we pile up some birds, it gets difficult getting them out (carrying them by hand)!

Have you tried it with a wide (2 inches or so) cobra braid?

Just curious my man....looking forward to hearing back....

The game strap is strong as you can see in this pic. I need to scan another pic I have with twice as many birds on the strap. In fact I could not even get the load off the ground by my self. We have not done much else with the game strap yet, I have been meaning to make one with the cobra braid as I think like you stated it would be a little better on the shoulder. Also need to work on the lenght of both the strap and droppers. Check your pm's

Good deal Jim....that looks to be exactly what I am looking for!!! Looks like you had a helluva day pilin' up some little birds  Either that or you are one BIG MAN  Think that strap will hold up to a couple PA resident birds????

PM back atcha brother!!!!

I have to do a retraction. I have been informed that the Cobra to skinny is not a braid we will do. I thought it looked good but was informed that its a big pain in the well you now. Stuff doesn't line up right and it takes a lot of time to make it look good. Sorry Jason, I should have called ya before running my fingers. You now were my brain is these days.

Mark
Some of the birds on the strap are small but yes I am a big guy. I would think a few PA birds would be fine.
