Any one know where geese with white and black callars are from? one spotted in illinois. i know that they use orange and blue collars for the mississippi flyway.

I think they are from Ohio. Not sure though

Yeah not sure but here in WI my dad has shot 5 white ones with the black lettering and we usually see just the white with black lettering ones around our area.

my uncle shot one 2 years ago that was 13 years old from horicon. this in conjunction with nathan's post leads me to to say wisco.

i know for sure ohio has white neck color w/ black lettering.

took these a couple years ago in Ohio. They collar them up near Cleveland from what I am told.

I have shot a handfull of white collars in Indiana. And still seeing a few around. They were from Indiana. The ones I see now are city birds or beach rats.

White with black letters / numbers = Ohio Banding Program
Here in Quebec we have a Resident Canada Goose Banding Program and the collars are orange with black letters / numbers.
