I was just wondering why the rule for NO GUNS in the YARD SALE.
How does this forum differ from the others where you can sell Guns?
Just Wondering

Thanks Barry
Did you hear anything from Kelly or Mark about my gun question?
paul
no i havent sorry, maybe it has something to do with legal issues, straw act or something like that. i know that in the yard sale rules kelly doesnt want anyone getting ripped off and guns are alot of money. yeah i know some of the other forums do it and maybe theres legal issues they have that jeff or kelly doesnt want to get involved with. my best advise is to shoot a pm over to kelly and ask him. sorry i couldnt be more help.

Yep, very cool web site! Maybe the IKC needs to put a little website up. Our site would be the opposite though, we need people to videotape us. I did buy a hat/gun cam that should be pretty sweet this fall. I'll prolly wear it turkey hunting and snow goose hunting too. Once I get footage, it'll be on here.

I think one of the reasons is. To send a gun to someone else you have to send it to someone who has a FFL License wether it be a your local sporting goods store or you buddy down the street. It is usually a pain the a$$, and they charge you to do all the paperwork. Usually what you saved in buying it off the internet you have to pay in fees, which basically defeats the purpose of buying it off the internet. Just thank the democrats.
btw nice site, wish I could use your service but you arent in utah.

Rules are Rules so I guess it doesn't really matter.

in michigan you dont need an FFL to sell a gun to a freind or to buy one from lets say a news paper add or a freind, that applies to shot guns and rifles. also you dont need a puchase permit or have to register a long gun. the only time a permit is needed is when your buying a pistol. also if your buying a gun from a dealer you need to fill out the NICS paper work unless you have a CCW and that over rides the NICS check, then pistols and long guns are registered that way through the dealer.
