Since my wife and I quit smoking. We made a vow on mothers day to quit after loosing both of them a couple weeks apart this time last year to COPD.

40 pounds and 2 years and 4 months ago i put the nasty habit down.I think it was one of the hardest thing that i have ever done. Good luck and i hope ya make it, after bout 11 months you will wonder why ya ever smoked in the first place. i had to use Chantix to getr done, so if it gets to tough, ya might wanna give that a try.. good luck.....................R

Congrats on quitting. Dont do what i did and start chewing to to quit smoking. I went that route and now dont do either finally. As long as you have plenty of beer and twinkies you can beat the cravings :)

Randy youre storey and mine are virtually identical. 2 years and 6 weeks ago i to quit using chantix. Couldnt have done it without it even though i swear i was having flashbacks to the 70s. I to gained weight 45 lbs. to be exact. Now if i could drop some weight it would be nice. Who am i kidding i like eating. Good Luck with it and remember its 1 day at a time, because its a lifetime battle. Jeff H.

You can do it Barry. I tried 4 times already and getting ready for another shot at it. I feel you will be able to do it your first time. You have come though on alot tougher stuff than that. GO FOR IT.

quitting is easy. I've got friends that have quit 15, maybe 20 times...
Hang in Barry - if you want it, you can do it. Think about you want, not what you want right now. Nic is a curse and I empathize with anyone doing battle with it.
