It was one of those days that started out slow. We had a strong east wind and it was a clear day. We set up the decoys at 6:30 a.m. We had a great spread set out, we put out about 200 totall decoys. Most of which are Avery's. It started out real slow, a clear day with a hard east wind. It wasn't till about 11:00 when the first two geese came in. They dropped right in on the decoys, didn't even circle. I had a friend come up from Boise with his two sons. I set them up where I figured the action would be the hottest. They jumped up and got both birds! Then came what we figured would be the kiss of death! The wind completely stopped blowing, no movement in the decoys. Thats when the geese decided to start moving. And that is when the action got hot!!! The geese just started to drop in on us hard and fast. We had geese landing in the decoys. We were all in awe. This is the second to the last day of the season. Birds don't do this! We even had the geese bypassing live geese out in front of us and coming in to our decoys. The sread worked out perfect. Everything was working in our favor. There was 10 of us hunting. Which of 4 were teenage boys. Two were my son's, and the other two were my friends from Boise's boys. They had a blast. By 3:00 that afternoon we had a totall of 38 geese on the ground. While we were setting up to take pictures we had geese still wanting to come in! We couldn't have had a better hunt! This was by far the best hunt ever!!!!http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/1gr8hntr/Incoming.jpghttp://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/1gr8hntr/Group.jpghttp://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/1gr8hntr/Falling.jpghttp://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/1gr8hntr/Boys.jpghttp://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/1gr8hntr/Loner.jpg
