What do you do on a cold windy Saturday afternoon in January when it is 30 degrees with 25 MPH winds gusting up to 35 mph. All of your hunting buddies are either doing that "married thing", working, or can't find their license??
You do what every cold blooded Goose killer does when there are 3 weekends left in the season. Go and break a limit off in 45 minutes. Then call them while in the field to tell them about it. Or at least that's what I do!

Actually, it was painted with some graphics on it when I bought it. they used a latex house paint on it and it flaked off due to the smooth surface. It was about to get painted last off season but he wasn't fir sure if he could get it back to me in time. I had to have it so I made do. The geese don't know any different.
But hey, the price was more then right!

Hey if it get the Dekes to the Field who cares what it looks like....you need to hook up with Jay from Illini and get some Foiles Decals on there once you get it painted....

Heck yeah man! I go by the same philosophy, except ours goes something like Hunt when you can and the WMA is open and work when you have to.
Our local farmers aren't too keen on people huntin on their land, so we just keep askin, hopin maybe they'll crack one day.

just a suggestion and i know you probably have a lot of work but one thing i try to do is help the farmers in the off season like last year i was in the deli geting a coffe and over heard this farmer crying about his irigation systerm and how it was gonna cost him a cupple grand to get it fixed, so i had my dad (who works on a golf course) fix it for him fer free and now he lets me hunt his field. if you can try to find away to kiss ass and help them out every once in a while it really can work.

Yeah, I've got some farmers that I'm friends with but they never get the migratory waterfowl there. And I'm usually gettin the hook up on places to kill turkeys while at work. THey're so thick down here people ask you to kill em. But thanks for the advice I'll keep my ears open.
