If the situation comes to only being able to hunt traffic birds, what should I do to improve my odds?? Thanks

Lots of decoys, and loud calling! Those birds already know where they want to be so you gotta give them a reason to hit your setup, this is when flagging is most important. Hope that helps ya out.

...and flagging; in fact, if you're running 3 or more hunters, designate flaggers and callers.

flag like crazy, throw out every decoy you own, and switch it up, you dont have to go with the same J or U pattern that those birds have seen all seaon. It also wouldnt be a bad idea to get in a afternoon hunt there too, you might be able to nickel and dime the flocks on their way to roost. If you know of early season hot spots, now is the best time to go get um, first cut of hay is going on now and i dont know one farmer that couldnt use another helping hand for a day throwing hay,, good luck brother

As stated lots of flagging and loud calling, but something I've found that works is throw out a decoy spread you normally wouldn't use, still give yourself a landing hole, but something totally different then what the birds normally see.
