Do any of you guys do any off season hunting over the summer such as groundhogs or prarie dogs. If so lets see your long range guns. Here is some of mine. .243 winchester, custom 28" shilen heavy varmint, Fully custom stock. Zeiss scope.......Only downfall is walking with it, 14lbs. shoots like a dream. My 600 yd. target here is the farthest i got to shoot target last year.

That looks like a bad ass video, only problem is they need to back out with the camara and shoot longer range. Nothing beats an 800yd. shot and being able to watch the vapor trail from the bullet drop right in and see it hit. They weren't shooting from very far away either. Still looks fun to me. I have never gotten to shoot a prarie dog yet. I was thinking of going out to do that this sumer. I have yet to make a 1000yd. kill. Not enough flat land here in most places. If any of you know places for public prarie dog hunting let me know. I was going to take a road trip this summer out west.

We do alot of rabbit, coyote, ground squirrels and fishing in the off season. My varmit rifle is a 22x250 ackley improved Remington 700 bdl varmit rifle with a 26 inch bull barrell and a 1 1/2 pound trigger pull. With a 6x18x44 scope. My other rifle is a new Savage varmiter in .223. Love that acu-trigger. My son bought me the gun for my birthday!

We used to have tons of prarie dogs to shoot around here, but the farmers have gassed most of em off. It sucks but i guess its their property.

Ya it was an awesome day 30 + 16" to 22" Rainbows and that big 25" buck brown on the mighty MO in Montana. Using a 4wt and it took a size 18 midge with 6x. Dude It was a battle. I was shacking when I got that thing to hand.

we get a few that look like that one around hear, for the most part our browns are in the big lake (lake michigan) and dont have those colors from not being in the river system. only to spawn and head back out.

CROWS thats always a fun way to ease the pain of the waterfowl close, a cupple rabbits hear and there, but the hunting i do in the spring summer and even the fall is spear fishing, theres few things that get the hart raceing faster then a 40 pound striped bass or 200 pound tuna coming at ya. :D
