man don't waste your time with being a nonboater it isn't worth it you basically put your money in a hat and some one draws it out, ok not really but basically, the only reason i say this is because you have no comtrol over the boat and the boater isn't going to listen to you because you are just a dumb nonboater in his eyes

yeah i know but its all for fun i have a boat that i fish local turnys with but for the trial i would have to make long runs every weekend, i am a first year driver with a 1988 ford f250 and i dont want to put to many miles on her, and my cousin fishis the trail so he could give me rides. im only gona fish it for a year then think about being a boater :D

hey i fish the non boater of BFL and your saying people dont get anywhere there your wrong on that one. I finished 10th over all this year and got 6th at my regional and happen to be the youngest person to ever qulify for an all american. i have had some spot that i told some guys lets fish and we ended up caugthin fish. but i'm just saying its a good place to start and while your still in school its ever better b/c you dont have to nessasrly go out and pre fish. it a good way to learn stuff and the best way to start. look at arron mcmanway he won the all american two years ago and now is fully sponserd by ranger boats

I love bass fishing almost as much as I love shooting ducks :D . I fish the youth tournys around here in utah. I took 2nd place in my last tourny which happened to be only the 2nd tourny I have been it in :D . Now that the season is over I cant wait to go fishing once the ice comes off our lakes :(

no i am not saying it isn't a great way to start out but what i was getting at is that most boaters do fish your water the way the tourney's are set up in the bfl is that half and half you fish the boaters water and then you fish the non boaters water but what usually happens is that you end up fishing the boaters water thats what i was saying and that it isn't always fair for the non boater because he has no say you on the other hand got hooked up with a good angler thats just the way it is around here

ya i have a ranger 390 with a Evenrude 150. well its not mine really but its my grandpals and he doesnt use it very much so i use it all the time. works better that way so i dont have to pay for it and i dont have to use up my garge space to store it. but i also have a 18 foot jon boat that i rig up for bass fishing some lakes around here wiaht a 25 horse Suzuki
