Should We Have Another Forum Contest

I hope i dont get in trouble for this, just curious, its really more about everyone opinion, i thought it was a great idea, and a great way to keep people intersted in the Site, the Forum, and FMI in general, this is By No Means a Demand, im not trying to step on your toes or tell you how to run the site....like i said i just thought i would see what everyone thought....Just for fun....

I was thinking about if you never got anyone to Bite on the call set you have in the yardsale....but then i thought no way in hell Kelly would give away a 400$ set of calls.....so...just maybe in the future if you come across something.....Anything..that you might want to give away....its just an idea

no offence brother.......the last contests were great and all the pics submited were awsome. kelly did these contests to give something back to us for being involved with FMI. like i said they were fun and what kelly did was awsome. needles to say the last one turned in to a circus. and again theres no blame on anyone, but im sure it left a bad taste some where along the lines. remmember i was referee during the last and final contest and spent 16 hrs straight in front of this screen........i am by no means complaining. its part of my job and loyalty to everyone and FMI. i would love to see another contest....BUT again there were issues.

again all you guy's did an awsome job with the pics and congrats again to the winners.

on a final NOTE......duckman4ever did you claim your prize? if not you need to! that was a world class photo and you deserve your prize!

Yeah....i dont really think there will ever be another one like that one....i was just in the mindset that everytime you try something new...theres bound to be something go wrong...just thought maybe MAYBE someday down the road Kelly will be an Awesome Admin, and give er another try.......if yes Awesome...if no no biggie...just thought it let the public out here shout out their opinion on the subject, and maybe get some people that wernt around for the contest interested...i just think it would be cool to do something for the younger guys on the forum that maybe dont have a lanyard full of 150+ dollar calls, maybe give them a contest just for them, how cool would that be, i think there coulda been somethings done differently that might have saved everyone from the headache that happend in the last one, and im in no way pointing a finger at anyone, but just sitting here contimplating about it.....Just An Idea like i said...not trying to step on anyones toes, or cause an heated debates...just thought id let the voices that might be thinking the same thing i was be heard.....

Yeah i think it was totally awesome just to get to Share pics like that in one thread...with a ton of pics in it...

but you know we could always do something like Best Product pic, or Best Limit Pic...or Best Goose Pile...or Best Trailer pic....instead of having all of them combined....you know like i said....just sitting here bored off my A$$, thinking......

Yeah but to think the last contest the only reason we cant do it now is because of that last one and that was just a misunderstandin in my eyes everyone treats the winner and all posters with a GREAT amount of respect know one if mad and I would have really liked to get into one and still do so thats just my .02cents

well i have a question what if we the people on the forum had something they wanted to give away. could we have our own thread contest and we pick the winner and send them the prize if we wanted. kelly let me know if this could work. it would not involve FMI in any way unless it was one of there product say i had or something. but im sure you get what i am saying.

Boys ya know I think of you all as my brothers, and I would be happy to throw down with a contest in the future. It may not be till summer when the rest of us get caught up...I dont know. Ya gotta understand though we are all slammed this time of year and to have to deal with that last mess was just one headache I didnt need. True it was partially my fault but still I didnt need it.

Contests arent a necessity, what other callmaker has a forum like this or has ever given their crew chances at free gear? We try to give y'all everything we can to keep the lifestyle going and your hunting successful and enjoyable.

Your more than welcome to put together your own giveaway, I think thats a cool idea. I would dare bet that I'll break down and have another give away sometime this summer.

what other callmaker has a forum like this or has ever given their crew chances at free gear? I would have to say none. FMI is awesome I am Strait Meat 4 Life. Foiles is awesome

I do think another contest would be cool. But all in do time, and the rules need to be clearly set, and also note that rules can/might be changed during the course of the contest to accomdate the judges. (I am not telling you how to run a future contest it is just an idea)

What is cheaper, giving away a call or paying an advertisement company to try and come up with photos like the winner submitted. To me it seems like a win win situation for everyone but the losers in the competition. The end definately justifies the means here.

Theres no doubt its a great deal for everyone. Hell I've entered a hundred of these kinds of thing and never won a damn thing (should have though - stupid forum admins) but theres no reason to turn them into a hassel.

I'm working out a foolproof (yes I'm the fool) way to run these so they are unbiased and fair.

The contests will come back, I have too much fun with them myself.

As someone that came to the forum after your last contest and don't really have a backround on what all the problems were. I am just glad that we have this site to discuse all that is hunting, fishing the outdoors in general. To share in our hunts, information, and knowledge. I could care less about contest. I belong to other forums that have to do with waterfowling, and have entered numerous contest, and have yet to win squat. I enjoy this site by far the most. Thanks to all you guys, and gals if there are any out there. Also thank you Kelly I think you are doing an outstanding job here.

Honestly this forum isnt about getting something for nothing. The contests were a privilege and act of generosity from FMI for our continued support. I'm not on here for a free handout. I am on here to talk about hunting and Foiles Migrators. This is one of the best forums out there. I don't know how many of you have visited other forums or are members of other forums, but you should really look around at some of them. This is probably the best run forum out there. We have very informative members from across the country and that is what this forum is for, to bring us together. There are no other forums out there that you can post up your own opinion and not get shot down for your thoughts. Everyone on here is very welcoming to others thoughts and that is rare.
If you are on here just to get a free hand out then you are waisting your time. If they bring back the contests, great, but if it remains the same as it is right now thats fine to. I'm not bashing the contests or anything, but they don't have to do them, it was a privilege. Now lets drop this thread and start talking about hunting, fishing, etc.
