I just want to know if the farmers that you ask for permission usually let you drive into their fields or do you have to pack in?????

Some let you drive others make you pack.. Depends on h farmer???

It just depends on what crop rotation the field is in, how muddy the field is or will be, if the field is going to be worked in the spring or no-till and the farmers preference. I have some fields that I can drive into no matter what and some just the opposite. Just ask nicely what the land owner would like you to do and ALWAYS make sure you close any gates, pick up trash and park where you will be out of the way-these things can turn a sure thing field into a no-mans land in no time!!!

frozen ground can be the wildcard....if even you can drive in mud can be an issue...usally corn fields you can drive on the stalks left in the ground when it's soft........ask the farmer and use common sense....
