They are awsome guns, just make sure you do the break in recommended in the manual, and shoot the correct ammo. as far as price, if you want all black you should be able to get it new for under 1200, and camo new for under 1400. I think dicks has the Max4 SBE II for $1325

They wont dissapoint you.

I hunted with a guy with a new SBE 2 and it was a jam-o-matic, very disappointed... What about this break in proceedure / shoot the right shells?? can you expand on this?

Always use at least 3 bar 1 1/8 oz. loads. Shoot at least 200 rounds at the range before taking it hunting, periodically clean and lubricate it durring thebreak in. Don't use discount ammo that does not have the same quality tolerance as the major manufacturers, and keep it clean and properly lubed, and you shouldn't have any trouble.

i have a sbe11 and i love it.

never had to " break it in " although with some you may have to shoot a few hunting loads before you shoot trap loads.

as with any weapon you should keep it maintained and it will perform.

Got one this last season...Don't know how i shot with anything else. My brother and i never had any problems with it. Tore it down and cleaned it once this season. Breaks down very easy, takes about five minutes to disassemble, clean and reassemble. Great gun, i highly recommend it.

I just bought a brand new SBE II at gander mountain for $915, and I love it. I put a patternmaster on it and it'll knock them dead. I never had to do a break in process, and haven't had a problem with it.

I just got my SBE II this year havent gotten to shoot it much yet but i live it already. Lightweight, no recoil (compared to my old trusty Nova), and fits like a glove.

I only know 2 guys that have them and they both hate them. Jam o matic and one of them the butt pad fell of and was lost the first time out.

I kinda want to buy one. How did you get it so cheap at gander mountain?

I upgraded from an 870 super mag myself and the only thing I can say is Perfomance worth the price!!! I absolutely love mine. The only problem I have ever had was I had ice build up on the safety and trigger but that was my fault totally. I had to get out of the blind boat and fix a decoy my waders were soaked and once back in I had the gun between my legs. I notice a half an hour later when a fantastic drake redhead cruised over my spread. Talk about bad timing but this could have been avoided. In my neck of the woods Gander Mt usually has the best prices lucked out and got mine for 1200.00 from BPS and a free case of shells during there fall hunting classic.

i ahve had my sbe for two & half years now and not one jamb, i have put everything in that chamber from the lightest clay loads to the heaviest goose loads, it has been in sub zero weather and i have not had one jamb with it, i hunt with several other peaple that have the sbe & sbe 2 and we chase the migration from upper manitoba to kansas & i have not seen one jamb out of 6 benellis in 2 seasons, i love this gun,

I can vouch for takem. I have hunted with him and shot clays with him, and that gun performed extremely well. Even with the 2 3/4" 8 shot, sent the flyin everytime. Was very impressed. Honetly, it performed much better than my Stoeger Condor, a simple O/U.

takeum your super black eagle 2 is how old? I thought they were new last year.

I have a SBE and love mine that is one reason I did not get a SBE 2.

Maybe we crossed wires here a little bit.

I am say not to get the SBE 2, that is the problem gun.
