How many of you guys on here have shot birds and then they fall with their wings fully extended and stay perfectly level while twisting in 360's? How cool is that when they do that? It seems like they fall forever! I only had it happen once this year, on a honker out in Colorado. Had a flock of mallards suck it up hardcore in the fall of '05 while hunting with my dad in Illinois and 3 of us killed 5 out of there. I killed my 2nd bird on the 3rd shot and he was pretty high..... wings out and it seemed like I watched him fall for like 10 seconds! It was awesome. Hopefully I'll get some on the hat cam doing that next year.

Its when you head shot a committed bird, which explains why miller might think its rare...

Had it happen several times this season. Just got to get Quackbang to stop pulling the Strait meat after shots. Think we have watched one to many videos.

H-unit the bird I did to out in Colorado was on my 3rd shot and I'm pretty sure that was the 2nd bird I killed outta that flock. Hard to tell with 4 others shooting though. And same with that mallard, 3rd shot, 2nd bird outta that flock as well. I challenge you to a shootout H-unit!!! You tell me when and where and me and my SBE will be there waiting for you and whatever gun you bring with you. You can use a heat-seeking shotgun if you want...I wanna give you a little chance against me.

i did that twice this year, both were BBs to the head/eye, no wing damage. pretty cool, i had time to run under them and catch them if i wanted!

i cant say that i have shot a bird and had them do that but i have seen it. it is pretty sweet. usually we havent had to take any shots that would allow a bird to do that this year. thay have all been in our face.
