Sillys?

HUNT THEM TOMORROW AND THEY WON'T BE A THING OF THE PAST.
Too many of todays waterfowlers don't remember the days of putting out a rig of sillys and tire decoys and killing your limit. Full bodies are great, but if all you got is a field and time, make some sillys and hunt them. I shot many a goose over a rig of hmemade stuff, Don't fall into the fullbody rut. Ive had a guy 200 yards away pull geese off my 50 FBs with a rig af maybe 200 v-boards, if the geese like the field sillys will work. When you put them out, angle the sun side down to the ground slightly to avoid the shine, other than that, they will kill birds.

i got this off of the sillouets thread but i didnt know what a "silly" was.. what are they and how do you make them?

I'am not sure whats better when things get tough Sillys or Tires. But I still have about 10doz tires. And they do work when the birds are wary of plastic.

the guys in my one club call the silouettes sillys thats all. Bring back the olt 800 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Take a tire and cut it into 1/4 turn it inside out paint the front white and the back 2 corners white and you have tires. They can be shot minnnnnnnnnie times , beat to HELL and back and still bring birds in.

anybody remember huntin snows over clorox bottles, im only 21 and ive done that a time or too, and it works on the big flocks

Never over Clorox bottles but ive heard Diapers on Sticks...and Styrofoam plates with rocks on the corners...

never hunted snows with Clorox bottles but we do it on the surf scoters all the time, some times in later season my hearters rig is not enugh and well throgh out a couple strings of black painted clorox bottles works every time :D .
