Yeah, we're getting a little snow here along the southern Lake Michigan shoreline! This was about a week ago and we've probably got about 18 more inches since than.
congrats :D got a little snow there?????? looks like a blizzard in my area today! im only 3/4 mile from the lake.

Thanks for all the congrats guys. I'm stoked! I had my son down in the basement with me yesterday and I was practicing the calls. All the sudden, I hear "I try, I try" from him. So I had an extra lanyard and some old calls and hung them around his neck. Next thing I know, he's running around with the dog blowing on a duck and goose call. Start em early, right??? :D :D

Congrats man! Kids are so much fun! My son has had a duck or goose call in his mouth since he has been able to hold one. Some of his first pictures are of him "gumming" a duck call.

Congrats!!! I took my 7 year old son, Randall, dove hunting this year on a warm September day. We had him do the retreiving and it turned out to be a positive experience I don't think he'll ever forget.
Then I took him duck hunting on a colder day in December. It was a slow day and he got cold. He probably had more fun dove hunting, but I plan to get him more into duck hunting next year.

Congrats! I have 2 daughters and 1 son right now and another daughter due 1 Apr. I am hoping she is a week or 2 early so I can get after the spring snows!! Right now my oldest goes with me. She started coming with me at age 3. Got to start them early!!! Here are some pictures:
Her First snow goose hunt. Hunt lasted about 15 minutes because the field was already muddy and it was starting to rain pretty good. It would have been a slaughter but keeping her happy, comfortable...is more important at this young age:

3 Future killers!!

I casted and hooked all these but she reeled them all in. The big one gave her a super fight! Notice the Foiles props under my plate.

Early season hunt. She is holding my Showtime:

In my opinion taking your kids hunting/fishing makes the experiance a million times better!
