So fellas, new on the site, as far as the forum goes. from longmont, colorado. Any local hunters around? How have you done. Not many birds around. The snow took all the food away.

Hey bro, I'm south of ya here in ABQ, Nm. I'm born and raised in Central Il and let me tell you this was the best seson I've ever had, as far as ducks go. This place is a sleeper for sure. It seemed like it was colder down here than it was your way for most of the season. We got some huge snows here, not common. But the hunting is alot different here. Snowy days were bad days, and it doesn't rain. So I was suprised at how good the hunting was. I guess it all depends on how much mountain snow they get here, as far as water level. But this place is deadly for sure. Just wish I could find a job out here when my enlistment is up. Anyway if you ever hear of some contests up your way let me know. I'd love to get in touch with some folks up there.

Thanks for the info, ware are you at now(what town?). Yeah it has been slow for geese, but there was a lot of ducks around. Had to get smart to get em though. had to hunt in cows, ware the farmer had been dumpin feed out on the ground. There was so much snow that all the food got covered up. in was tuff. the geese vanished in early jan, but there is still a few locals around to give hell to.
