Homemade boat blind tips?

Hey fellas...we have a Crestliner 1750 Fishhawk that only gets around 5 uses each year...instead of throwing the cover on it for the winter we were tossing around the idea of using it for goose and duck season this fall to access some better hunting spots...anyone try to make a homemade blind for their boat? any tips or diagrams would be great.....thanks

Shafferjm12, man there are a ton of plans out there on the net. I googled homemade duck boat blinds and thousands pop up. I made one this week for a 14' v bottom. Best thing to use is 3/4" steel conduit. Its really cheap to start with and makes a sturdy frame.

It really depends on what type of boat you have and what you want to do with it. I'll try and post a few pictures up here for you of the one I made. Once you see it, you should be good to go.

I took the conduit, made braces across the back and front. Bent the conduit and put a brace in the middle to hold everything in place. You can use clamps, or just drill holes in the edge of the boat and bolt it on. PM me if you need anything else man. Hope this helps.

Heres my first one, Sorry there is no pic's of the framing but is a simple flip-up pipe frame. Ended up not liking it so decided to build a new solid frame blind.
