6 years active duty Army stationed with 3rd Infantry Division at Ft Stewart GA then Ft Leonard Wood, MO. I was part of the initial phase and invasion of Iraq in 03. I am now in the Reserves out of Des Moines, IA and work as a Carreer Counselor for the troops. My wife is also a Reserve MP and deployed to Iraq four months after I returned. Thanks for the support guys. It means a lot to us especially with what has been going on lately.

DNG I don't know where I'm gonna end up when I get out. I'll have the chance to go anywhere I want. kinda liking this long season out here as compared to Il. but the wife wants me back near St. louis. just depends where the money is. And I hoping to get BTZ, SrA I'm just over two years. just got performer of the year in my squadron, so that was pretty sweet. Havn't been deployed yet but it doesn't mean i can't leave tomorrow. i was going to try to make it up to Utah for the B.O.W. contest but I think I'm gonna try to back home in March for the IWA weekend. Anyway I also want to say thanks for all the support guys, I love to support companies that support me.

My wife did two active duty enlistments (8 yrs) in the Marine Corps. She picked up the rank of Staff Sergeant shortly before getting out and her MOS was "Gunsmith" (2112). Her specialty was building the USMC bolt action sniper rfiles (M-40A1 & A3). She made my wedding ring from the barrel (stainless steel) of an old sniper rifle.
1911 enthusiasts might find this interesting: She also built and worked on two 1911 variants. Although the standard miltary pistol is a Beretta 9mm (M-9), the Marine Corps builds two different 1911s (.45 cal.): (1) The 1911-A1 National Match for the USMC Pistol Team. It's a Caspian upper and lower receiver design built with very tight tolerances for maximum accuracy. A straight-up "paper-puncher". (2) The 1911 MEU SOC (Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable) for the Force Recon Units. It's a Colt Series 70 lower with a Springfield upper. It has a few custom "bells & whistles" (Videcki trigger, high-ride grip safety, etc.), but it's more of a "battle-rattle" combat pistol. I hear Force Recon has since odopted one of the Kimber 1911s.
She spent her last nine months overseas aboard the USS Nassau (Mini Carrier) in a Maintenance Battalion attached to the 24th MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit). The 24th MEU went into the "Sand Box" shortly after the war began.
OOHRAH!!!
