How come you don't see many of them being traded or sold? Even like Cabela's doesn't have many of them. Are they more of a custom order?
cause wood is way to cool.......................... :D

Is there any difference between a wooden call and an acrylic call? Ive heard that wood is softer more ducky sounding. Is that true?

Cabela's actually had some wood MH & SMH calls in the bargain cave a while back. I picked up the MH for $110 and am kikckin my own ass for not getting a wood SMH. I had never blown a wood Foile's call so I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. How could I not like a Foile's call? Anyway I hope my next two purchases will be wood SMH and wood TR. I'm dyin to hear an all wood TR.

It's all preference of what you like. I own both types, I like the goosey sound of wood but also I have killed geese with the acrylic calls too. :D :D :D

I love a wood call when they're flyin low and lookin to land, when you really gotta get out there and reach them on a blue bird day though, you can't go wrong with acrylic

Acrylic has a great crack to it. You can reach out a long ways with acrylic.
Wood is probably the best for water and finishing IMO. I have a wood HPH in Burnt Hedge. Talk about low and mean!!!!!! Love it for finishing.

I think its just Cause Wooden calls have that Classic hand touched kinda feel to them, you know like picking a good piece of wood, checkin the grain a lot more goes into it then just sticking a piece of Acrylic in there in the color of choice and cuttin one out.....and they sound like that ole gander leading the pack..!!! definately will have one....just cannot decide which one.....
