I live in northern Minnesota and have always traveled to Canada for geese. I am not looking for your specific hot spots but am looking for some general areas to look in ND. I have a 10 and 12 year old that want to hunt with dad and they cant do that in Canada if they could I couldn't afford all three licenses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ND isn't all it's cracked up to be. This year will be our 6th trip for duck/goose/pheasant hunting. We had one killer year there and the rest so-so. I am actually considering looking at Minnesota as I keep hearing good things from there. I also go down to Arkansas for a week in January and that has been less than stellar for the 5 years as well. I still think Canada is the place to be if you want to hit em' hard. Try finding some better spots in your state to take your boys. My son is only 19 months but I already have him playing with duck and goose calls. :)

Thunder- I Live in ND and you are definately headed in the right direction. We have awesome Goose and Duck hunting here. I was out every weekend from the early season to the last day January 1st it was 18 below zero that day the birds came in beautifully. Early season starts again this coming weekend can't wait got a field already picked out. If your looking for a genereal area I would say central North Central ND anywhere around lake Audobon, lake Sakakawea, and the Missouri river. They are about 30 miles from each other at most so the birds are thick in there with plenty of roosts to choose from. Also it depends on what time of the season your coming. I recomend any time after late Oct thats when the birds start getting really thick. Hope this helps any other ?? on ND i would be glad to answer.

HAHAHA well if you can't limit out in ND then you are just a poor hunter and you should go to MN.
