We do what well call the diamond set up.

ones that they'll come into... :shock: jk man i like to change it up and try to imitate what the birds were doin in that field the day before...

Srry really didnt turn out like it was suppuse to .
What it is is about 2 doz decoys u put in the middle, then out about 30 yrds on a diagonal you but 6-7 on each side, then 3 bulls out in front of you about 40 yards to make it look like they are walking into the geese.

if we're in a blind or pit we do a rough square of decoys with the blind in the center, the pit in side a figure-8 style hole so the birds can land in front or back dependin on wind and where their comin from
layout blinds- i usually use the X

put your decoys closer together and sleeper shells are killer...in snow the geese will hit there bellies right when the touch down cause they will stay warmer and it will melt some of the snow underneath them making it easier for them to find food...i like to use alot of shells late in the season...
