I was reading a thread about making your own lanyards and ecided id try. I read a little on different braids. I found some cord laying around the house and made this thing. Im going to start a real lanyard for my self and then make them for my family. I ran out fo cord so i turned it into a um.... "hand lanyard"

Yeah I think I'm going to make some lanyards. I need another one anyway. And maybe make one for my dad.

I wish I could remember the name of the website I got my info from. It was geared toward braiding bracelets and stuff like that, but it had directions on how to do the round braid, cobra, square, and such, it was a big help when I built mine. I used 550 cord (parachute cord) and they turned out great. I will say this, it is tedious, hard on the fingers, but it is well worth it. Good luck with it, and we look forward to seeing your finished product.
