Hey,
It's me again with yep...... ANOTHER question
I was wondering if there was a video out or if anyone has any video clips of them comp calling? It would be great to watch a video and have someone tell you what the judges are looking for and about different classes and things to try things not to do and things to do etc.....
Anyone have any ideas for me
Thanks
Dave

Something was said about FMI making a video of WWII but I don't know if it ever came about. I have a lot of the goose calling comp on video but don't know how or if I can share it. Jeff does go over comp calling and sequences on 2.0 as well, but I think actually listening to them would help you better. Some of those guys are unbelievable.

Dave,
get Jeff's DVD calling geese 2.0
he goes into detail and explains how to make up a routine and what the judges are looking for. Also the CD Honker Sounds II explains it pretty well also and breaks a routine down in the different segments..
go to www.gundogsonline.com there are some routines on there from some the best callers ever.....from the Cystic Fibrosis Open in 2004
Kelly Powers, Big Sean and others ..they have 3 rounds from the contest on there with full routines....or go to as many contests as you can...just watch and listen....then go for it!
only way to get better is by doing it...hey, I'm not world champion by any means...but I feel like I get better after every contest I enter...I'm just trying to get better at it myself.....
get yourself some stagetime and practice
good luck!

I will tell you one of my favorite quotes regarding comp calling that was told to me by the one and only Johhny "The Grinder" McDonnell of Burnsville, MN......it wasn't his quote, but the originator's name will not be mentioned...........any ways......here goes, the best advice I recieved about comp calling.............he says to me, "If you are interested in comp calling, you better have a good set of tires and thick skin."
There are better places to start, but that just came to mind when I seen this thread......just practice brother....it'll come.
