Max4, however in alfalfa or tall clover in a ditch priare ghost, is very good the low variation in the pattern seems to blend well, and dosent give you the distinctive body outline that a lot of other patterns will do!

I had been a mossy oak fanatic for years, until they screwed everything up with the "NEW" versions of everything. Then I switched to Natural Gear. It seems to be the most versatile pattern for the areas I hunt in. I like the Max 4 pattern as well as the new AP patterns from Realtree, but Natgear just seems to blend in where I'm at, so it's my predominant pattern.

Some buddies of mine think the same thing, but I totally disagree. I think the old shadow grass was just plain bad. I definitely think they have improved with the new shadow grass. The wood part of the camo is much more realistic in pattern and color. I prefer wetlands or max4 but I actually bought some of the new shadow grass for hunting in some timber. Blends in excellent. But like I said most people I know who like mossy oak agree with you.

I think they both have their place, I mean you wouldn't wear Max 4 on the muddy bank of a lake would you? and Nat. Gear makes you stick out in a marsh or in the grass. I use them all, whatever is going to canceal me the best. and I almost always wear 2 or more different patterns just to break up my silhouette.

I have both. I use them both in different situations. My X-Land'r is in Natgear, and am going to get another blind in Max-4 my buddy has a sub in max-4 and it looks awesome in the field.

I would have to say that it would depend on the situation that you are in. I like MAX 4 very much, and it is a very versatile pattern, but Nat Gear pays dividends in certain situations as well, Mossy Oak NBU is a good pattern as well in given instances...I like to base my camo on where I am hunting given the time of year...good thing there are lots of choices!

It all comes down to what type of area you hunt. I have two different set's for the two different areas i hunt. I use MO New SG fo the lake i hunt because i my blind is a mix of tree branches and grass.
When we hit the marsh i use Max-4 and love it. It really helps break your outline.

Nat gear for every thing. Most of the time in waterfowl hunting you're covered up anyways so camo pattern doesn't matter, however for hunting in the wide open woods Nat Gear blends the best out of any camo I have ever seen. Digital camo also has this efect and that is why most of the armed forces have switched to it. Just wish they would make Nat gear Under Armour.
