what is a good beginer goose call?
i was wondering if i should get a meat grinder and then a SMH a little later or just a SMH to begin with....

if you have all the basics down like a good cluck, moan, feed growl, the SMH would be a good choice if money isn't an issue.

If you can afford it get a SMH but if not a meatgrinder will do just fine. You won't even pick up that Canada Hammer II after blowing either one. The meatgrinder is the best sounding polycarb call available and should be good to learn on.

Exactly like Drake Whistle said...but, if money is an issue head to the yard sale on this forum, or even check out a meat grinder! Good luck and great idea on upgrading to Foiles!

Keep that old Bucky. That was my first short reed call. I could not learn on it for crap. After going big time and learning how to blow a call I picked up ol Bucky and tuned it so it sounded OK. Good call to practice tuning on with the locked in reeds.

Get the SMH TODAY!

Definately a SMH......and a Callin Geese 2.0 video...wether you know how to call or not.......you wont be able to put it down, because even the bad notes sound good .........!!!!

SMH, I started on a Canada Hammer and graduated up to the SMH years ago.

Meatgrinder.....Great beginner call and half the price of the SMH. But if you have the cash, get the SMH.
