Difference in inserts????

I was just wondering if there's a difference in the inserts on the Mean Street and Strait Street?

Yes there is a difference between the two!!! As far as what the difference is technically speaking.....i do not know. But as far as how the call performs....the mean street top to bottom is better.....especially the duck....definitely more duck in this call. The top end to me is (keep in mind I haven't done a lot of searching for a mean street that suits me) is not quite what i have in my SS, but it is LOUD and clear. And the bottom end duck and feed chatter on the Mean Street is also noticeably better, like what you find in a dmm....very good call.....i know Randy Fox has slayed quite a few with the ol' mean street....perhaps he will chime in as well....

thats a very techinal question, but to make it as simple posssiable, the bore of the insert is slightly different and the drop at the front of the inserrt is slightly different. slight changes in these areas can change the sound and running of a call. these are the basic diffs i see. but one thing for sure is it is a duck slaying machine. to get the tecno answers the guys to ask are Jeff, or Drew..hope this helps............................................. ..................R

most of the difference is with the tone board of the Mean Street....Jeff and Drew kept making changes to it till they got it exactly like they wanted.......slight changes that cant be seen with the naked eye...but you can tell right away when you blow it...Geede did a good job of explaining the differences in the duckiness and high and low end....

Thanks guys. All those answers were what I was thinking I just wanted to make sure. I'm supposed to be getting a Mean Street here soon if the deal goes through, but I wanted to change the color of the insert. I saw on the site that the strait street inserts were on sale so I figured I'd give it a whirl if there wasn't any difference. Thanks again!
