Awesome footage I got the chance to see alot of footage like this when I was over there from sept 05-jan 06 with the job that I have the pilots like to show us what happens when they drop the bombs that we load or shoot the 20mm gun it's way cool and like our command Cheif said while we were there "Puttin Warheads on Forheads"

i got this e-mailed to me...It said that there was a ground force and a c130 Spectre in the air. The C130 was 2.5 miles away and the ground force "painted" the target for the aircraft. Painted means putting a laser target on the enemy. I was amazed by the acuracy...wonder if that gun had a patternmaster in it!!!!! :D :D :D. I have another one also I'll get up later.
God bless all our troops!

I had the chance to wear night vision goggles with someone running around on the ground the pilot "painted" them with his laser pod and it was like someone turned on a switch they lit up like a X-mas tree, they did this just to show us what it was like. pretty cool stuff

Very sweet......having seen many events unfold just like that from the ground, the Apache pilots were a God send during our push north into Baghdad. The video just does not do it an ounce of justice to even try and comprehend the force behind their strikes. God Bless the USA!!!

MNBenelli,
Appreciate the support, Some of the guys I deployed with in 2003 are going back for a 3rd deployment this spring. In some weird way I wish I was going back with them. I would miss using my Benelli next fall but the Army issued me a very sweet piece made by Browning that would do just fine. Gotta love the Ma Duece (M-2 50 cal. Machine Gun) Now theres a piece of American history.

Video does it no justice. There is nothing like watching them lay it down right over your head.
If you've ever been there you know what i mean.

Roger That....very comforting to have an Apache escort on the convoys. I remember when I was with 3rd Inf Div and we were pushing north to Baghdad. We went through the Karbala Gap and watched as a few Apaches worked their magic about 300 meters from us.

I did two trips, one in the sand box with the 75th Rangers and another in 'stan. There are few better fealings than being in a bad way & hearing those guys coming to clear the way. I know i owe a lot of beer's to those guys!
