Put some on shore can't hurt. I put them on the ice also. I suggest using BigFoot full bodies.

It depends what is on the bank. If there is food ie. corn, barley, beans then go with a few actives and feeders. When I am hunting lakes with a mud bank or just grass I like to run my floaters right up to the bank with some resters on the bank. It seems to work pretty good for me. Like dc81 said if you are hunting a iced bank with open water run sleepers on the edge of the ice. If you can either drop the bases down (GHG) or remove them so they are sitting directly on the ice that works the best and is more natural.

Hope that helps some. If you have any questions let me know. I think I may have some pics from last year to show you what I mean.

Dang....forgot that one, thanks Gary. When doing that I'll take a few mudded tarp straps with me to go around the log to hold the bases onto the log.

I do basically what DC81, SO Il fowler & Gary mentioned and it works fine, but again depends on location, location lol!
