Seriously, put whatever you want in your signature, "IOWA SUPER KILLIN CREW EXTREME ELITE ULTRA PLATNIUM PROSTAFF", or whatever nickname you think up for you and your cute friends, is all quite laughable. Even as a joke, sadly is really common. Mostly done by the desperate without endorsements, prostaffs or any real recongnition.

As for what call I blow, or who I dont suck up to really is no business of yours. While you buy hundreds upon hundreds of dollars worth of acrylic, furiously posting pics of your calls and frantically pledging your alligence, hoping to gain acceptance, I feel really bad. I've never really had to do that. While my relationship with Foiles calls hasnt always been on best terms, it has gone back farther than before you sat on mommys lap in the vista crusier learning how to merge. Which has gained myself alot of friends who are REAL prostaffers, foiles friends and strait meat champions which I often speak to on this forum.

You might think I dislike you, however, like usuall, you are wrong. I really admire that newbie green horn, "tuggin on the prostaffer coat tails", type of attitude. However, I usually see it done by 12 year olds.

And while internet banter is oh so much fun, I think Ill close on this thread, unless as predicted youll open up another oh so intelligent reply which will probably pull me right back in.

Killer...ANYTIME you do something like start a crew or start self promoting you should absolutly expect to catch some **** over it. It's the nature of the game. Theres a couple different kinds of people who will do it. A: People who are jealous B: People who honestly think it's ridiculous.

The A type people are idiots and the B type people are entitled to their opinion. If you post your stuff up on a forum in front of the B type people you should expect to hear about it.

Now you have 2 choices. You can take it personally, get butthurt and start an internet war or you can just shrug it off and not care.

I've been down that road, I caught crap from some idiots and some of the biggest names in the industry over the calling contests I ran. H-Unit was probably one of the guys who ran me the hardest over the deal. Sure it pissed me off but it was something I wanted to do and I learned a great deal from it.

I dont hold a grudge over it, I was alittle pissed last year at WW2 that he didnt come over and introduce himself in person but whatever. I wouldnt hesitate to go huntin with him or just hang out...we're adults and we all have our opinions.

H-Unit has as long a history with Foiles as I do, maybe longer. Not always a good history but we all know who he is and how to take him. Sometimes you have to take what he says and translate it a little, if you do you'll find some good advice buried in the cynical BS he posts.

Moral of the Story: If you cant take the heat from the spotlight stay in the shadows.

I feel I need to comment on that. All the guys on the crew are fulltime students and we all work multiple jobs through out the year to support our sport. All of our gear is purchased with our own money. I have never asked my parents, nor have any of the crew members, to buy our **** for us. I really don't know where that comment came from. I can tell you right now that our parents income has nothing to do with the subject. If you knew the story of my life you would know that. We used to farm and money was ALWAYS tight, so now that I can work the jobs that I work I don't think twice about buying nice gear. When you can't afford something it just makes it that much more desirable. So now that I can afford it I buy it.
I find that comment VERY offensive because you have never met us. I would tell you what my parents occupations are but it has no relevance because even if I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth it wouldn't matter because I would still have to work for what I want. Before you make those kinds of comments your should find out who we are and what we do. Its apparent that your parents didn't teach you to play nice and if you can't say something constructive don't say it.

You can play the "moneys been tight, and we lived in a farming household" all you want but fact of the matter is you guys are all over the internet flaunting how many birds youve shot, how many thousands of dollars worth of Foiles calls you have in each picture you take, and how far your SBEII and pattern masters will knock down double banded $50 reward geese on your third shot stepped out at 80 or however many steps and swear you know what hard work is and deny your parents help fund your posse but Im not buyin it. We can all be proud of how many birds we've harvested, but obviously some people think your "crew" takes it overboard. I personally think its great you have all done that..... but expect a little heat if youre gonna put yourselves in the spotlight.

Piece of advice here from someone whos been through the ringer. No matter how bad someones post pisses you off...no matter how good of a reply you think you have....the post you think is going to end it all will just fuel the fire.

Do what you want to do. Live it up, post your pics and stories. The majority of the guys on here really enjoy it. Be proud of your accomplishments. Just understand that with every bit of good comes a little bad.

I'm not doggin any of you, most of the big dogs in this industry started right where you all are. Just go into it knowing that there are people out there who will ridicule you, you have to learn how to ignore it/brush it off or else this industry and the people in it will eat you alive. Trusy me boys what H-Unit and the other guy threw at you is NOTHING compared to what Jeff or any of the rest of them heard when they were coming up.

Like I said before, it's hot under the spotlight. Someones always there to smack you around a little. Thats a good thing, makes you tougher and it motivates you.
