Love 'em...just wish we could use the remote model up here in Minnesota. Kinda sucks turning them off manually when geese are coming. We think they seem to scare the geese.

We've got two mojos but don't use em anymore. We shoot more birds without them than with them. The ducks around here catch on to those things quick and the geese won't come anywhere near ya. Just our personal preference.

we set up three of the baby mojos, we put em in about 35 dozen bigfeet. But the ducks will dive bomb in at 80 or so yards, and most the time land. However, the geese dont seem to like them that much. In my experiance, great for early morning, and late afternoons! but when serious about the honkers you best turn em off.

I love ours on the river it seems to suck them in. I dont know about field hunting I havent decided if it makes a difference or not. And as for flaring the geese I think that is BS. I have seen geese land 10 yds from them while they were running.

I would love to have geese that would land by a robo. We can get an occasional loner to drop in and land but not once all year did a group not flare from ours.
We experiment a lot with this because our limit of honkers is filled quickly and we need to shoot ducks after our goose limit so we leave them on and experiment. I have many tried and true methods of using robo while hunting geese.

we have a few in the group i hunt with.. absolutely love them. mine has the remote so i dont have to get upand turn it off. Ducks LOVE them, we do turn them off when the honkers start commin in, but we have had some flocks this past season who didnt seem to mind them, then again they didnt have a clue what hit them :D :D

no thanks, when we hunt everyone and their brother has one so i leave it at home. Ducks seem to come in better with good calling and decoys spreads anyway.

Same thing here. I think it's because we don't have a lot of ducks around my neck of the woods as compared to these guys farther out west?

Amen. I'm not bashin those that use them, but I think they are making ducks a lot more skittish than ever before.

I could go both ways on the outlawing. I noticed this season a lot more ducks flarin off them than comin to them late in the season. Now that could be cause our ducks had been here for a month, but early in the season we had a lot of singles, doubles and groups dive bomb us on one or two simple quacks after a hail call. I also had about 7 canadas get at about 40 yards and bust ass out of there I think it was primarily due to the mojos in the hole. I would not be against every state outlawin the things I agree it would put the killin back in the hands of the hunter and make it where every Tom, Dick and Harry couldn't just go out and kill some ducks not knowin what they're doin. We use 3 in the hole just to get teh birds' attention and then we every so gently coax them in to meet the Ol' X-Pert steel.

depends on the day. sometimes the ducks can't get away from them and other days it seems like they sit and laugh about 80 yards out. geese on the other hand hate mojos here in mn. we tried one occasion and they flared, took em down and the next flock dumped in, might be dumb luck or the fact that they don't like em. we just leave em at home unless we know for sure we'll be killin ducks.
