Anyone Shooting a Stoeger 2000

I have a Stoeger 2000 and was wondering if anyone else has one. If so what choke tube are you using.

I don't but my hunting partner does. He shoots the modified factory choke. He knocks pretty good too. Their full and extra full chokes explicitly say not to shoot steel through them.

Got buddy that shoots one and he does the same, Mod only. You can order a Kicks or Patternmaster for them in Full or Xfull if you want and they'll shoot any steel load.

i shot 1 for the last 2 years. I used a patternmaster tube last season but before i used a mod. cabelas hevi-shot approved tube.

Did the patternmaster have a better pattern? I have not owned a Patternmaster, are they better than a Comp-N-Choke. I guess my question is are they worth the extra money.

I had my patterns up till a few weeks ago when i cleaned out my shop. But by far they had a better pattern. At 40 yards, 30" with #2 hevishot only had 3 strays out of the circle. It was all but the same for #4 shot also. I will use nothing but that choke now. I have 2 and getting another before next season.
