I just sold my meatgrinder and trying to decide between the HPH, MH, or SMH. What do you guys think is my best decision. I know that you guys usually say its up to yourself and how you feel about the call. Just trying to get some input on how u guys feel about them....

I own the HPH and the SMH Canada world champs and the HPH is a great call, it goes fast, super easy to blow and is goosey
The SMH is my favorite of the two. It has that great pop for comp. calling, fast, excellent laydown, and spit notes are great.
Don't own the MH but that might come later.

SMH is definately a good all around...and its the perfect call to start out with, ive had two and ive loved both of them....i dont own a HPH, but ive blown a couple and they sound great they are super fast but i think the insert takes some getting use to not having the flare on the end...luckily i learned how to use a Short Reed on and K&H Pit Magic...which has a ver similar insert....the MH on the other hand is i great call to have in your bag...its a totally different style of call, being that it is made from two Duck call Barrels...the SMM and the TR, its a little higher pitched, and its definately a fast call, takes some getting use to, you cant choke the call down as much, you have to open your hands up a little more, but all three are winners in my book....

:D START OUT ON A SMH & GET THE OTHER TOOLS ANOTHER DAY. I DID IT LIKE THIS . SMH, MH, HPH, & THEN I GOT A SHOWTIME & 2.0 GOOSE THAT SET ME STRAIT. 2006 WAS THE BEST GOOSE YEAR I'V HAD IN 35 YEARS OF WATERFOWL HUNTING ON A LAKE THAT I THOGHT WAS ONLEY GOOD FOR DUCKS. :D

I agree with this order of call collecting except get 2.0 with first call. SMH is probably your best option. The HPH and MH are a little different to blow in my opinion.

One thing I left out. You said you had a Meatgrinder. Well, in addition to the SMH being the best all-around goose call, blowing it would be an easy transition for you since the MG is a poly version of the SMH. Depending on your ability with the MG, you should be able to make that SMH "sing" right out of the box.

I totally agree with all the rest of the guys that said the SMH. Very easy to blow. You cant go wrong with the SMH.
