Well i went to my first calling comp tonight at the easern outdoors sportsmans show in harrisburg. I must say i am hooked even more than ever. After watching these guys do their thing tonight especially Big Sean and Mitch Hughes(i know not a foiles guy) i was impressed. Sean took second which i dont know how but it kinda stank how they had to judge 30 guys in 1 round. Time had alot to do with that. Anyhow i am def. gonna try to get into some duck comps by the end of this year if not the beginning of next. So i will be asking for help of thise who have called in comps.

well i will be using that SS i got from you if i do it. I cant call geese for crap. Ducks would be about all i do anyway. I can pretty much do everything needed for calling.......a routine is what i would need to do. I watched some guys tonight and i know i could have done just as well if not better. But they already did better than me......they were up there blowin while i was watching.

I was sitting in the stands somewhere with you Richie. I was at the sportsman show watching the duck and goose contest tonight as well. I think Mitch did a really good job, but man when Sean got on stage and started calling my brother and I looked at eachother at the same time and said he won without a doubt. It's not hard to figure out who the best call maker is out there. It seemed like everywhere you looked people were walking around with Foiles shirts on and low and behold the bag I had sitting beside me contained my new Showtime (blue/clear) and DMM (teal). I cant believe how both of those calls sound. Think my brother is deaf now lol I made him drive home (2hrs) so I could play the calls all the way home.

I have to agree. I've heard Big Sean, Wade, Hunter,.. ect. call and I think Big Sean is on a whole nother level. He can f#*k up a goose call. I guess it just depends on the judges. Even listening to Sean on a Zink compared to the Foiles you can tell such a quality difference. Just my opinion.

Lots of good callers....kinda makes you wonder when you see the score sheet and really look at the numbers....I certainly finished where I should have. I thought it was clear as a bell Mitch Hughes and Big Sean were in a league of their own...but I see one judge scored 9 different callers ahead of Big Sean and even more ridiculous was one judge scored me ahead of Mitch Hughes....don't get me wrong I think the scoring was pretty on with the placings...just when you see stuff like that it is very weird.

Dont sell yourself too short Gooseblitz. I was at the contest and I think everyone in it did one hell of a great job. I know after listening to you guys I wanted to go home and either practice my butt off or throw away my calls
