The most we've had at one time was eight hunters. We had to really stubble extra heavy to hide all the blinds and then somewhat coordinate our shooting, but it was a very memorable hunt with great fellowship.

Thanks guys I appreciate your thoughts, I have 6 guys total including myself that are gonna hunt a corn stubble field for ducks, they have been pouring into it the last couple of days. The problem is that all 5 guys are really close freinds of mine almost like family to me and I dont have the heart to tell them no, so now there are six, shouldnt be to bad I dont think.

Our problem is a stupid one, but..................
every time a bird goes down, everyone is trying to sell everyone else on why THEY shot the bird(just in case it is banded) so I like to keep it to 3 or 4 people max

That's why 1 is the best number. No fighting over birds or bands.

The most i've hunted with at one time was eight and that was probably the best i've seen geese come into the spread, and this was the in the late season. So hiding everyone wasn't a big deal. I hunt with a couple people that claim to shoot every bird, and if we get a band that we aren't sure who shot it we'll just draw straws for it.

We'll field hunt 8 guys in layout blinds, and we can put up to 10 in our normal permanent blind but normally we are only shooting 8 out of it as well at the most. As far as bird hawgs and Band Hawgs, a little common sense goes a long way, for instance the closest bird in the middle of the line of blinds is probably going to get pounded by more than one shot, so normally we have doubles and even triples on a single bird, when that bird happens to be banded, the guy who got the permission to hunt the field gets the band if he thinks he's pretty sure he got a shot on that bird. Other than that somebody normally will whine about it for some time and then get over it or not get invited any more. When you're talking about "bird hawgs" specifically, my personal opinion is Let 'em have 'em. That just means you get to shoot more and or clean less :)

Well there are a very few times that we have more than 6 in a field. This is one of those times. ;D
