I just got my new FA Brand catalog. They showed some improvements made on the SUB blind. Something about push lock hinges for quicker set up/take down, I'm assuming. My question is this...I noticed in the pic that the clip pins are still located on the blind (I think six in all). What exactly do these push lock hinges do, if the blind still has the clip pins that have to be inserted at the frame connections?? It may be a dumb question, but I was just a little confused. Thanks.

The hinges allow the blind to fold up smaller than in the past...in the catalog, look at the pic just below the main pic of the SUB...it shows the new SUB folding in three...rather than in half!!!

Mark, thanks for the info. So you still need to use the clip pins for set up and take down, but the new hinges just allow it to fold up smaller...right? I thought it looked like a more compact package, but just didn't notice it folding up twice instead of just once. Thanks again.

Yeah...you still need the pins.

No problem...that's what we are here for!!!!

Since it still looks the same with the pins but changed a little to fold down more can SUB owners order the parts to make their blind break down smaller?

I thought about that myself....I will see if I can get that answered!

It would only make sense. Everything is getting better every year and is starting to break the bank. I called FA yesterday to see if the could sell the blind cover. I have one in field brown and wish I had 1 in max 4. But you can't beat the brown in a cut bean field. They said they did not sell the covers but you could order parts for the frame. That is why you should be able to convert the frame into the new frame.
Compact is the way to go. Hope they could, where can you see the pictures of the new SUB?
