So who does everyone hunt in plowed corn fields? I recently hunted a plowed corn field for the first time. We got out there early and dug in our layout blinds 6" then back filled. What I ended up with was 2 big dark brown circles in the middle of a light brown corn field (from the freshly turned soil). needless to say most hardly looked at us and the few that gave us a look flared at about 75 yards =( Any tips on hunting this type of field would be helpful.
thanks

i never hunted a plowed field but have seen them land in them. my guess they are looking for small stones for there gizzards they seem to stay about 10 minutes and leave from what I observed...they use them to grind grain more than likely corn

if your blinds are darker then the field, mud your blinds with the same soil from that field. You wont stick out that way, and maybe try using some silos or something around your blinds to help concealment. Just my .02$
