It looks like this year is going to mirror last year. Weather too warm all around, heck it was 75 degrees in my house yesterday afternoon with the wondows open at 4pm. What gives.

It figures, the year I get my buck out of the way early, no birds to shoot. My fingers will be crossed.

i just got back from a week in So Dak and we had 65-70 degree weather the first three days. Saw more ducks than you can imagine. one field had probably 20,000 in it. I shot a total of 7 birds in three days. Thursday morning was 25 with a WNW wind and killed 5 mallards in 45 minutes. only reason it wasn't sooner was because it was too dark to ID the drakes.
Hang in there

We saw a ton of ducks heading south yesterday and today, i got word that they are starting to kill limits in mound city MO as well. We would have killed more ducks today but the 25mph nw wind kinda screwed us they just kept on boogiein south. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to die down a bit so hopefully a few straggelers hang out and play.

We picked up geese here but they ate stuck In a pattern of feeding at night and every bird Is hitting the same lake there is no changing their minds I didn't even pull the trigger today. A buddy of mine is in mo deer hunting he said there are birds everywhere

Well it don't seem like to many birds hung out to play we saw a few groups running around on the river but nothing like we saw moving through the last two days. From what i hear they all Went to MO. We did end up killing 3 shovelers and a mallard this morning but it was definitely a lot slower than i had hoped.
I guess i should say where hear is, so this report may actually be useful. We hunt right along the missouri river north of Omaha ne about an hour.

That's fine with me. I still have four days of quality bow hunting before the 1st shotgun season and the rut is starting to kick in here. After that, I'll be a born again quack/honk addict.
